3. Quotes and Estimates
Quotes and estimates provided through our website, by phone, by email, or in person are non-binding and subject to change upon physical inspection of the work site. Final pricing will be confirmed in writing before work begins. We are committed to upfront, transparent pricing with no hidden fees. Factors that may affect final pricing include:
- Site conditions not visible during initial assessment
- Changes requested by the customer after the initial quote
- Unforeseen complications discovered during the course of work
- Required permits, inspections, or code compliance upgrades
- Material price changes beyond our control
Any changes to the quoted price will be communicated to you and approved before additional work is performed.
4. Scheduling and Access
Scheduled appointments require adequate access to the work area. The customer is responsible for ensuring clear access to the areas where work is to be performed. If our technicians cannot access the work area upon arrival, additional charges may apply for return visits. We will make reasonable efforts to arrive within the scheduled time window.
5. Cancellation Policy
We request at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling of confirmed appointments. We understand emergencies happen and will work with you to reschedule when needed. Repeated no-shows or same-day cancellations without notice may result in a cancellation fee or a requirement for prepayment on future bookings.
6. Payment Terms
Payment terms are agreed upon before work begins. We accept cash, cheque, e-transfer, and major credit cards. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- Payment is due upon completion of services for residential projects
- Commercial projects may be subject to agreed-upon payment milestones
- Late payments may be subject to interest charges at the rate of 2% per month (24% per annum) on the outstanding balance
- Accounts more than 60 days past due may be referred to a collection agency
7. Warranty and Workmanship
PeakFlow Plumbing & Heating stands behind the quality of our work. Our workmanship warranty covers defects in our labour for a period of one (1) year from the date of completion, unless otherwise specified in writing. This warranty covers:
- Defects in workmanship that result in leaks, failures, or improper function
- Connections and joints made by our technicians
- Proper installation of equipment and fixtures
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications
- Normal wear and tear of parts and equipment
- Pre-existing conditions not related to our work

- Issues arising from customer-supplied materials or equipment
Manufacturer warranties on parts and equipment are separate and governed by the respective manufacturers' terms. We will assist you with manufacturer warranty claims where applicable.
8. Permits and Inspections
Certain plumbing and heating work requires permits and inspections under Alberta building codes and municipal bylaws. Where applicable, PeakFlow will obtain the necessary permits and arrange required inspections. Permit costs will be communicated to the customer as part of the project quote. The customer is responsible for ensuring that any work performed is permitted under their property's zoning and building requirements.
