4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your browsing experience:
- Essential cookies: Required for the website to function properly, including form submissions and navigation
- Analytics cookies: Help us understand how visitors use our website through Google Analytics, including page views, session duration, and traffic sources
- Functionality cookies: Remember your preferences and settings to provide a personalized experience
- Advertising and conversion measurement: When you arrive from a Google Ads advertisement, the link you clicked includes a Google click identifier (gclid). We store that identifier for the duration of your browsing session and attach it to any quote request you submit, so we can understand which advertisements lead to genuine enquiries. It is an advertising identifier and does not contain your name or contact details.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain website functionality, including form submissions and chat features. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may collect, process, or store your information:
- GoHighLevel (GHL): Our customer relationship management platform that processes form submissions, manages communications, provides live chat functionality, and handles business phone calls. GoHighLevel stores contact information and communication records on secure servers.
- Google Analytics: Provides website traffic analytics and usage data. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymous usage information. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On.
- Google Maps: Displays our service area on the website. Google Maps may collect location data and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Ads and conversion measurement: We advertise on Google. When you submit a quote request, we send Google a conversion measurement signal so we can tell which advertisements produce enquiries. As part of this, the email address and phone number you enter are converted into an irreversible cryptographic hash in your own browser before anything is sent, and Google receives only that hashed form, never the plain text. Google uses it solely to match the conversion to an advertisement click. We also record the Google click identifier described in Section 4 against your enquiry in our customer records. This information is used for advertising measurement only. It is not sold, and it is not used to build a profile of you for any other purpose. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Tag Manager: Manages the measurement tags described above. Google Tag Manager does not itself collect personal information.
- Cloudflare: Provides website hosting, content delivery, and security services. Cloudflare may process certain technical data as described in their privacy policy.
Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data. We encourage you to review their policies.
6. Disclosure of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We may disclose your information in the following circumstances:
- To our service providers and technology partners (listed above) who assist us in operating our business, subject to confidentiality obligations
- To Google, in hashed and irreversible form only, for the purpose of measuring which of our advertisements lead to enquiries, as described in Section 5
- To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable government requests
- To enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of PeakFlow Plumbing & Heating, our customers, or the public
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our business, with notice to affected individuals
