Do I need a permit for a new gas line?
Yes. Gas line work in Alberta requires a permit and an inspection. We handle both as part of the job, and the price we quote includes them rather than adding them later.
Can you run a gas line to my BBQ or outdoor kitchen?
Yes, and it is one of our more common requests. A dedicated BBQ line removes the propane tank routine entirely. We route it to keep the run tidy and protected, and it is inspected like any other gas work.
I think I smell gas. What should I do?
Do not use switches, phones or anything that could spark inside the building. Leave the building, then from outside call ATCO Gas at 403-245-7222, the Calgary and area emergency line, or 1-800-511-3447 from elsewhere in Alberta. Both are staffed 24 hours. Once the immediate hazard is handled, call us at (825) 773-1297 for the repair.
Can you add a gas line for a stove, dryer or fireplace?
Yes. Ranges, dryers, fireplaces, garage heaters and outdoor appliances are all standard work. The main variable is whether your existing gas capacity supports the additional appliance, which we check before quoting.
Do you do commercial gas fitting?
Yes. We handle commercial gas fitting including tenant fit-outs and equipment connections, with the same permit and inspection process.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Calgary and the surrounding communities of Airdrie, Cochrane, Chestermere and Okotoks. If you are just outside those boundaries, call us and we will tell you honestly whether we can get to you.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. PeakFlow Plumbing and Heating is fully licensed and carries comprehensive liability insurance, and all of our work meets Alberta building and safety codes. We are happy to confirm our credentials before you book.
What are your hours?
We are open Monday to Friday from 7AM to 5PM and Saturday from 8AM to 4PM. We are closed Sunday. Leave a message outside those hours and we will get back to you on the next business day.
